An unusual and intriguing exhibition pairing works by Eric Gaskell and Steve Davies to show their differences and similaries in style, subject matter and treatments. Some of Eric’s works have not been shown here before, with several that date from earlier times within his extensive career.
This is one of three exhibitions at the Alex in May, the other gallery exhibition is A Painting of Picturemakers showcasing work by Stephen Baker and Gemma Whitford, the Midland Potters Association is joining us with 11 studio potters setting out their exhibits (in the pavilion, garden and within the Alex) from 9th to 17th May (closed Monday 11th May only).
If you feel inspired to try lino cut for yourself and are free on Friday 15th and Saturday 16th May there will be a linocut workshop taught by Eric and Steve.
