At the end of July (just before the usual summer break closure for the month of August) we will be having our usual ‘Made at the Alex’ exhibition. Customarily this has been an event focused only on the work made at the Alex by the studio artists here. But this year we are mindful that we have not only work which has been worked on here by artist stewards and demonstrators but also work which has been made during events. So its thrown open to more artists and is an opportunity to see how some of the work we were working on here now looks when finished.
This show is open from 23rd July to 1st August (Thurs-Sunday, so open 7 days in all, 11-4).
CLOSED DURING REST OF AUGUST
The Alex is closed for the month and re-opens in September for Heritage Open Days. We will be working on the appearance of the Alex during this time so expect things to look a little different. Not hugely but part of the ‘continuous improvement’ of this little arts centre.
